Community leaders and business owners across North Texas have scheduled 215 Halloween events for the days leading up to October 31. The calendar spans six municipalities, including The Colony, Frisco, Plano, McKinney, Celina, and Fort Worth. Venues have confirmed programming that includes free public festivals, ticketed tours, and private parties. The schedule features specific dates for family-oriented activities and adults-only excursions.

The Colony hosts Stewart Creek Park’s Family Fright Fest on Saturday, October 24. The event is free and includes hayrides, games, crafts, and trick-or-treat booths. Truck Yard holds its annual Halloween party on the same day. The restaurant serves a limited-time spooky drink menu and hosts costume contests and fortune tellers at its six Dallas-Fort Worth locations, including the new Richardson outpost. Grandscape schedules Emo Night Brooklyn, a DJ-led dance party, for Thursday, October 29. It also hosts a family-friendly Trick or Treat Extravaganza on Halloween evening.

Frisco venues offer a dense Saturday schedule. Halloween Par-Tee at the PGA District features pumpkin putting, trick-or-treating from decorated golf carts, carnival games, and face painting. Heritage Halloween at the Frisco Heritage Center decorates historic buildings and provides hands-on crafts, popcorn, cotton candy, balloon animals, and a fortune teller. Trick or Treat the Square runs from 1 to 4 p.m. at Frisco Square. The event includes carnival games, inflatables, and horse-drawn wagon rides. Costumed children collect treats at participating businesses along Coleman Boulevard.

Additional Frisco options include the Spookeasy pop-up inside Lounge by Topgolf at Omni PGA Frisco Resort & Spa. The venue serves themed cocktails such as the Blue Diablo Margarita, Pumpkin Spice White Russian, and Dead Head Punch through November 1. The Star’s Little Stars Halloween returns to Tostitos Championship Plaza on Wednesday, October 28. This free morning event targets children ages five and under, featuring Halloween-themed games and treats. Decorated strollers enter a drawing for Nuna treats.

Plano venues focus on the Downtown Plano Arts District and Haggard Park for the Rest in Plano Fest. The Saturday event includes carnival rides, live performances, creepy characters, and photo opportunities. Fillmore Pub sells themed cocktails and mocktails. Legacy Hall hosts a free Trick-or-Treatery Halloween Parade on Tuesday, October 27. The program opens with a screening of Hotel Transylvania, followed by trick-or-treating and a costume parade for children and pets.

McKinney businesses offer seasonal menus and community walks. The Yard’s Halloween Haunt runs through October 31, featuring spiderwebs, pumpkins, and skeletons. The menu includes a Bobbing for Apples Old Fashioned and the S’mortuary, a vodka-spiked cold brew that benefits Cody’s Friends Dog Rescue. The Stix Icehouse hosts a free Trunk or Treat with Macaroni Kid on Thursday, October 29. Adults can order the Fridged Witch frozen green apple cocktail, while children drink the nonalcoholic Slimy Slushy topped with gummy worms and a vial of blood. The Spooktacular Brews and Boos Walk takes place on Halloween. Costumed guests receive a signature taster cup and map to visit more than 20 beverage stops in Historic Downtown McKinney.

Fort Worth and Dallas venues provide family and adult options. The Fort Worth Zoo’s Boo at the Zoo runs from Friday through Sunday. Admission covers six treat coupons per ticket or membership, plus access to a pumpkin patch, strolling characters, keeper chats, live animal presentations, a train ride, and a carousel. Klyde Warren Park in Dallas holds its sixth-annual Trick-or-Treating in the Park on Saturday. The free event includes children’s book giveaways from Book Drive for Kids and an outdoor screening of Toy Story 5. Downtown Celina’s Beware! of the Square festival takes place on the same day. It offers trick-or-treating, a haunted manor, a kids’ zone, Cirque sideshows, a pumpkin decorating contest, and more than 60 market vendors.

The Grapevine Vintage Railroad operates the Witches’ Brew Train on October 30 and 31. The two-hour round-trip excursion uses vintage 1920s coaches. The ride features Texas craft beer and spooky entertainment. Operators encourage passengers to wear costumes.
