Jay-Z will perform the Super Bowl LXI Halftime Show at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, on February 14, 2027. The NFL, Apple Music, and the artist announced the booking on Monday. This marks Jay-Z's first appearance at the event, despite his long-standing professional ties to the league's musical programming.
Roc Nation, Jay-Z's management company, has produced the halftime show since 2019. The firm recently signed a five-year contract extension that secures its role through 2029. Under Roc Nation's direction, recent shows have featured a heavier focus on hip-hop and rap artists. Last year's performance at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California, headlined by Bad Bunny, included guest spots from Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin.
Los Angeles has hosted the event twice in recent years. The 2022 show at SoFi Stadium featured Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and Kendrick Lamar, with cameos by 50 Cent and Anderson .Paak. Other recent performers include Kendrick Lamar and SZA in 2025, Usher in 2024, and Rihanna in 2023.
The 25-time Grammy winner has been on tour this year to mark the 30th anniversary of his debut album Reasonable Doubt and the 25th anniversary of The Blueprint. The Jay-Z 30 Tour began with three nights at Yankee Stadium in July. He then performed two shows in London and one in Paris in September.
His final scheduled concert dates were October 23 and 24 at SoFi Stadium. These recent performances at the same venue will now serve as a direct warm-up for his upcoming Super Bowl performance in less than four months.
