Samsung Japan has set October and November 2026 dates for One UI 9, the Android 17-based software upgrade, across 40 Galaxy phones and tablets. The company published a device-by-device schedule on Thursday.
One UI 9 first shipped in September with the Galaxy S26 series and has since reached several models from the prior generation. Samsung has now named the next group of devices in line.
The roster reaches back to the Galaxy S23 and S23 Ultra, released in 2023, and includes the S24, S24+ and S24 Ultra, the S25 and S25 Ultra, and the S26, S26+ and S26 Ultra. Foldables on it are the Galaxy Z Fold 5, Z Flip 5, Z Fold 6, Z Flip 6, Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7. Samsung also listed the Galaxy A57, A55, A54, A36 and A25.
Tablets named in the schedule run from the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2024) through the Tab S11 and S11 Ultra, along with the Tab S10 series, Tab S10 FE and FE+, Tab S10 Lite, Tab S9 series, Tab S9 FE and FE+, Tab A11, Tab A11+/5G and Tab Active 5 Pro.
Samsung has not published the schedule outside Japan, and dates for other markets have not been released. The company has said the global rollout will continue past November, with entry-level devices likely to receive the software in December 2026 and January 2027.
Some models are absent from the list, including the Plus versions of recent Galaxy S phones, many Galaxy A devices, and products sold only in certain regions. Samsung has not said when those devices will be added.
The dates in the published schedule fall between October and November 2026.
