The Detroit Lions and Jacksonville Jaguars will both wear their new 'Rivalries' uniforms for the first time on Sunday. Both teams play at home with a 1 p.m. ET kickoff. Detroit hosts the Minnesota Vikings, while Jacksonville welcomes the Indianapolis Colts.

The NFL's 'Rivalries' program requires each participating club to design a look based on a specific community theme. The Lions partnered with Nike on a design called 'Defend the Den.' This outfit features a white jersey and white pants paired with a Honolulu blue helmet. The team stated that the carbon fiber texture on the helmet's decal represents elite performance and connects to Detroit's car and racing culture.

The Jaguars focused on tribute elements from Jacksonville and Duval County. Their helmet is teal, a color the franchise has not used before. The word 'Duval' appears on the back bumper, and the '904' area code is placed on the front. The rest of the uniform consists of a white jersey and black pants. The team noted that the number font was heavily inspired by historic music venues and the southern rock influence in Jacksonville.

Only the home team wears the special uniform in these designated games. The Colts and Packers were the first to wear these kits this season. Indianapolis wore its design in a Week 3 win over the Texans. Green Bay debuted its version in a 31-7 victory over the Bears in Week 5. Teams wearing these uniforms are 2-0 this year.

The remaining games where home teams will wear their 'Rivalries' kits are scheduled for later this season. The Jaguars host the Titans on Nov. 15. The Colts host the Texans on Nov. 19. The Lions host the Vikings on Dec. 20. The Packers host the Bears on Dec. 25.

Each team will wear its new uniform just once this season. However, the design can remain in the team's rotation for the next three years. The program started in 2025 with the AFC East and NFC West. The AFC West and NFC East will follow in 2027, and the AFC North and NFC South in 2028. All 32 teams will have unveiled a 'Rivalries' design by that point.
