Marcus Theatres is pricing domestic beer drafts at $5 across participating Milwaukee area locations for the duration of the World Series. The price cut is part of a larger promotional package that includes $9 Game Time Lemonades, $10 medium pizzas, and half-price appetizers. The chain announced the deal on Thursday as the Brewers prepared for their first World Series appearance in four decades.
The promotion is designed to encourage fans to watch games in group settings rather than at home. Theaters will display games on televisions and digital projectors in their bars and lounges. Specific venues for these watch parties include Movie Tavern Brookfield, Marcus Majestic Cinema of Brookfield, Marcus Renaissance, Marcus Menomonee Falls, Marcus North Shore Cinema, and Marcus BistroPlex. The Wall at Gurnee Cinema is also participating with a sports bar format.
Alongside the game broadcasts, Marcus Theatres is reviving two documentaries about the 1982 Brewers team. The films, titled "UECK" and "Just a Bit Outside: The Story of the 1982 Milwaukee Brewers," will screen at ten locations across Wisconsin. These include Marcus Bay Park Cinema in Ashwaubenon, Marcus Green Bay East Cinema in Green Bay, and Marcus Sheboygan Cinema in Sheboygan. Other screening sites are in Delafield, Appleton, Waukesha, Menomonee Falls, Sturtevant, New Berlin, and Oak Creek.
Jeff Tomachek, president of Marcus Theatres, stated that the company had waited 44 years for this specific opportunity. He noted that the goal is to provide a space where the community can gather, whether they are reviewing past team history or socializing during live games. The company wants its physical locations to serve as an alternative venue for fan engagement during the playoffs.
A loyalty incentive is also in place for the run. Members of the Magical Movie Rewards program who purchase a ticket for any feature film by October 31 will receive a voucher for free Junior popcorn. The voucher is redeemable from November 4 through November 24. New users can register for the program at no cost before their visit to qualify for the offer.
The chain provided showtimes, ticket availability, and a full list of participating sites through its website and mobile app. The announcement was distributed via a press release from Marcus Theatres. The 1982 Brewers reached the World Series but lost the championship, a fact that informs the historical context of the current screenings.
